New Beginnings...

It's been awhile again since I have posted anything but never fear I am back. I have decided to deactivate my Facebook account for some time so I can focus on more important things in life like family, faith, getting my novel written and published, etc.

I really am thankful for so much in my life and every post, regardless of the month, will have some type of gratitude attached to it. I don't want to go one day without recognizing my blessings and those who have helped make it so.

It's been hard for me to be a working mom. It's not something that I ever wanted to be. Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a mom. Life doesn't always turn out exactly how you imagine it and because of the economy and other things I have had to stay working full time to help provide for my family. Sometimes, I am lucky to catch a glimpse of my girls in the morning before I go to work and kiss them and tell them I love them. By the time I get home I only have about 3 hours or 4 at the most to spend time with them. This year has been hard and I feel so tired when I get home and not wanting to do anything. I sit them in front of a movie so I can get some work done around the house. Quality time is spent watching movies and television shows. I realized a week ago that I don't like this trap or cycle we are in. My kids and I need these few hours to be together and learn and grow. This is my time to teach them. Forget the stupid TV.

Almost every day my daughter Jaymee tells me, "Mommy you don't have to go to work. You want to stay home with me and Ashley and daddy." And I say, "Honey, that is my dream." It's killing me inside. I have decided to start fresh and new. No more grumpy mommy who has to rush through stuff when she gets home. My children and I will spend quality time. If you come to my house and there are toys everywhere and dishes in my sink and spills on my kitchen floor you will know I spent more time with my precious kids and husband making memories.
